Our man in Spain, Phil Kitromilides, thinks Swansea have enough to score at Mestalla but they will concede as well in their first Europa League group stage match

The pairing of Swansea with Valencia in the Europa League has generated a large amount of interest here in Spain due to the Welsh side's large Spanish contingent. 
Indeed, the Swans boast eight Spaniards in their squad as well as a manager who made his name in La Liga, and coming up against one of the country's traditional powerhouses is a nice story for fans and journalists alike. 
Yet Valencia are struggling having lost three league matches in a row for the first time in five and a half years, and William Hill price them at 5/6 (1.83) to get off to a winning start in Europe. 
Swansea meanwhile are 4/1 (5.00) outsiders for their trip to Mestalla with the draw offered at 5/2 (3.50).
With four points from four league games, Swansea's domestic start has been almost as disappointing as Valencia's but the Welsh side do look to have goals in them and they showed as much on Monday night against early Premier League pace-setters Liverpool.
