Limerick host Shelbourne this evening, with the visitors on the verge of relegation from the Irish Premier Division. Sitting bottom of the table trailing 11th placed Bray Wanderers by three points and 10th-placed UCD by six points, the future is looking grim for Shelbourne.
Limerick come into this match sitting in a solid seventh position in the league. With four points separating them from sixth and eighth, it looks as though Stuart Taylor's side will finish in that position.
Despite the Blues losing last time out against Bray Wanderers, they had put some form together, winning their previous three matches, including a victory against second-placed Dundalk away from home. Paddy Power price them at 11/10 (2.10) to get back to winning ways.
With UCD playing on Friday, Shelbourne have the chance to put a small amount of pressure on them and close the gap to three points.
However, with UCD only needing a point from their remaining two matches, the situation doesn't look good for Shels, who's most realistic hope may be to finish in 11th, which would send them into the relegation play-off.
